Back With a Vengeance

Life tends to get in the way of what makes us happy. At least that’s how it has been for me most of my life. That stops today.

After contemplating for some time whether or not blogging is even worth my time (Will I be any good? Will people actually care about what I write? How will I be able to set aside the time for this in my busy schedule? What if I completely suck?) I have decided that the worst thing that I could do was not even bother trying.

Writing is something that makes me happy. Putting my thoughts on paper – or internet paper – is cathartic. It’s cleansing. It shows other people that somebody else out there is going through the same thing they are, or loves the same product they do, or even rambles about nothing to provide a distraction from how stressful life is. The point is that I feel that writing gives me purpose. I would love to be able to tell myself that I wouldn’t care if nobody read what I wrote or enjoyed what I had to say, but that would be a lie. I do care. The thing is that even though I do care I still am willing to put myself out there, flinging myself into the unknown, hoping that somebody will enjoy my hobby too.

This brings me to the topic. It’s said that every blog should have a niche. I’m still trying to find mine. For now this will consist of everything that I enjoy like:

  • beauty & skincare
  • health & fitness
  • controversial topics
  • empowerment
  • mental health

Hopefully here you can find something that resonates with you. If you don’t, that’s okay too.

Here’s my promise to you as a reader:

I promise to always give you my real opinion on everything. I promise never to be paid for my opinion or forced to stand for something that I don’t believe in. I promise to write as much as I possibly can cram into my life. I promise to listen to suggestions and feedback with an open mind. I promise to be here for feedback too. Overall, I promise that I am going to commit to this and be a place where, hopefully, you can forget about your stress for a while.

I figured that I would end with one of my favorite quotes of all time. I try to live by this. Enjoy your day, and spread the love.
